Craig L. Kephart
Co-Founder, President & CEO
Craig has over 25 years of experience in the healthcare sector. He is a respiratory therapist and has worked in hospital settings as a clinician and administrator. His prior corporate affiliations include Quantum Health Resources, Inc. where he held management positions in sales, general management and corporate marketing. At Quantum he developed his expertise and passion for serving patient communities with rare chronic disorders.
Prior to co-founding CHR, Craig served with Express Scripts, Inc. as the Vice President of Specialty Distribution Services, and subsequently Vice President/GM of Specialty Pharmacy Benefits Management. He has had management responsibility in a variety of operational roles including sales, marketing, product development, reimbursement, pharmacy and specialty mail order pharmacy.
Michelle Hefley
Co-Founder, Chief Operating Officer
Michelle is a registered nurse with over 20 years of clinical and business experience in various healthcare settings. She has held senior management positions in home infusion, specialty pharmacy distribution, sales, operations and new business development. Her prior corporate affiliations include Caremark, Quantum Health Resources, Gentiva Health Services and Express Scripts, Inc.
Michelle has developed partnerships with pharmaceutical and biotech companies to create specialty distribution of drug therapies to unique patient populations. She has also implemented patient assistance programs, initiated clinical trial services and developed product-sampling programs for physicians.
Lawrence P. Glascott III, CPA
Chief Financial Officer
Larry is a certified public accountant and has over 20 years of financial management experience within a variety of healthcare organizations. He began his career in the Los Angeles office of KMPG Peat Marwick and later became the corporate controller for Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital/InterHealth Corp., a $200 million multi-entity healthcare system located in Whittier, California. Prior company affiliations include Arthur Andersen, LLP, Group Health Plan (Coventry) and Right Choice Managed Care.
Prior to joining Centric, Larry was Chief Financial Officer for Wellpoint’s central region operation based in St. Louis. His corporate financial reporting responsibilities included Blue Cross Blue Shield of Missouri, HealthLink and UNICARE. With combined revenue of $3.9 billion and 3.5 million members, Larry supervised a staff of 150 and was actively involved in the organization’s strategic planning, quarterly forecasting, Sarbanes-Oxley certification and day-to-day financial management.
Warwick Charlton, M.D., MBA
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Charlton has more than 25 years of experience across a wide range of healthcare businesses and health service technologies. He has specialized expertise in product development, healthcare data, analytics and informatics. Dr. Charlton is a board-certified physician with broad clinical experience in managed care settings and private practice.
Warwick served as CMO and Senior Vice-President at Accordant Health Services, a disease management and specialty pharmaceutical fulfillment company. During his tenure he was directly responsible for the development and oversight of 15 rare, complex chronic disease management programs that provided direct services for 50,000 patients. As CMO and Senior Vice-President at Click-for-Care, he was responsible for the development of a comprehensive web-based patient care information technology and communication platform that provided disease management, health services and health content.
Kevin Stehlin
Chief Technology Officer
Kevin has 25 years of experience managing all phases of information technology in key administrative and development positions. With over 10 years of healthcare sector focus, his expertise includes specialty PBM management, e-prescribing and electronic medical records systems design and implementation.
Previous positions include the Director of Information Technology for a regional physician group practice, and founder and Chief Technology Officer of Wellinx, a wireless handheld e-prescribing company. Most recently he served in senior technology roles with Maritz Teleservices and Express Scripts, Inc.
John K. Fielder
Co-Founder, Senior Vice President – Marketing & Corporate Communications
John has over 30 years of experience in specialty healthcare and general consumer marketing. He has directed national brand initiatives to create awareness and drive demand among diverse healthcare constituencies. He has held executive management positions with McCann-Erickson Worldwide, Quantum Health Resources and Trimeridian, Inc.
Prior to Centric, John was Senior Vice President of Marketing for SCAN Health Plan, a MedicareAdvantage HMO located in Long Beach, California. Responsible for brand marketing, membership sales and communications, he also directed public relations support for public policy issues at the state and federal level.
Penny B. Bemus, MBA, JD
Vice President – Business Development
Penny brings a diverse business background in finance, business planning and legal affairs to her position. Prior to Centric, she was most recently with Legacy Pharmaceutical Packaging, LLC, where she served as a managing partner and board member. Legacy, a St. Louis-based contract pharmaceutical packaging company, provides specialty packaging solutions to drug manufacturers. Key responsibilities included FDA compliance, contract negotiations and business strategy.
With over 20 years of experience, Penny spent 10 years with Huttig Building Products, Inc. directing various departments including: accounting, business planning, sales planning and analysis, and legal affairs. She began her career in St. Louis with General Electric’s Lighting Division as a manager in plant finance and later as a finance manager in the Apparatus Service Division.
Tom Westrich, RPh
Vice President – Pharmacy Services
Tom has been a practicing pharmacist for over 25 years. He has served in hospital settings as a clinical pharmacist, specializing in intravenous nutritional support and pharmacokinetic dosing. Previously, he was Vice President of Clinical Services with American Home Therapies and National Director of Infusion Pharmacy Services with Medisys, Inc.
Most recently, Tom worked for Coram Healthcare as general manager of St. Louis operations where he was responsible for infusion pharmacies and overall facilities management. Previously with Coram, he served as National Director of Quality Improvement for five years overseeing programs to address quality, cost and liability issues.
Connie Garner, RN
Vice President – Clinical Services
Connie has an extensive background in clinical nursing with over 25 years of experience managing specialized infusion therapies. She has worked in hospital, alternate site and specialty pharmacy settings. Her prior affiliations include Coram Healthcare, Caremark and Incarnate Word Hospital.
Prior to joining Centric, Connie served as nursing manager for SDS/Express Scripts in St. Louis, where she was responsible for the daily operation of clinical support and case management functions for three specialized infusion therapy programs. Her duties included staff nurse training and management, medical authorization and appeals oversight, and outcomes reporting.
Cindy Hohn
Vice President – Reimbursement
Cindy has worked in the healthcare field for over 15 years. She has extensive administrative experience in hospital, home infusion and medical specialty companies. Her prior affiliations include University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics Emergency Services, Coram Healthcare and Interlock Medical Services.
Before joining Centric, Cindy was Manager of Reimbursement for several specialty pharmacy programs at Express Scripts, Inc. Her responsibilities included staff management, payer negotiations and managed care contracting.
Doug Carlson
Vice President – Quality & Health Management
Doug is an electrical engineer with over 15 years of experience directing major quality initiatives for manufacturing organizations. He began his career with Cooper Industries and served in a number of positions including, Quality Assurance Manager, Business Unit Manager and Division Quality Manager. His responsibilities included ISO-9000 audits, implementing an electronic document control system and administration of a divisional ISO-9001/QS9000 registered quality management system.
Most recently, Doug was the Corporate Director of Quality for Spartech Corporation in St. Louis. He directed the firm’s corporate quality management system covering 40 locations throughout the United States and upgraded the corporate management system to comply with ISO 9001:2000 and ISO/TS16949 international standards. He also designed and implemented an enterprise-wide intranet site to manage information and document distribution and control.
Pam Schneider
Vice President – Human Resources
Pam has extensive administrative experience with over 20 years of service in the healthcare sector. She began her career in collections with the R.C. Wilson Company in St. Louis. Her responsibilities included administrative and management support for departments ranging from customer service to human resources to general office management.
Prior to Centric, Pam assisted executive teams and managed human resources responsibilities at SDS/Express Scripts, Inc. During her tenure, she also served as an implementation manager and business analyst. She is certified in Human Resources Studies and Strategic Human Resource Management through Cornell University's School of Industrial & Labor Relations.
